easy diy christmas dessert stands

ahhh! christmas is coming.
the goose is getting fat.
please put a penny in the old...

oops!
sorry guys.
i'm getting caught up in the christmas spirit,
as today marks the first of christmas month,
aka there is SOOO much i wanna do
and sooo little time to do it!

and the options of crafting are endless,
my mind is going bonkers with all of them.

like, take these for instance,
that darn ole target and their dollar spot
and sneaky $3 spot they put in there
trying to be all casual.

but it doesn't matter to shopper suckers
like me who look at EVERYTHING
and make their kids laugh when i say "oh i'll be real quick...just give me a sec..."

cuz they know it is simply impossible for their ole mom to take a sec on anything that
involves craft and art supplies.

so i will just move on
and show you the options that i picked up:
ok so i had that ribbon and hot glue gun already
but never mind.
here's what i did with everything:
i fell in LOVE with these erasers.
but being an old woman over 50 i think using leetle erasers is kinda outta the question.

never fear!
there are options folks!

see?
because hot glue isn't exactly as
tacky on the stand, you can do this:
using hot glue alone allows you to peel the erasers off once you are done using them and decorate the mini stands with another option for the future holidays.

adding tacky glue makes them
a little more adherent.

but heck if you don't want to use hot glue or tacky glue,
try E6000 maybe for a more permanent fixture.

i am only assuming that option will work.

just know these things aren't exactly dishwasher proof and i would highly recommend you wiping the tops off with a towel instead of soaking them in your sink after use.

just sayin.

anyway, here's ANOTHER option:
oh are we having fun yet?
these stands are only about 7 inches across which makes them kinda christmasy cuter in a way.

perhaps you can peel off one of the erasers and erase the calories off one of the cupcakes you plan on putting on the stand...
or errr...whatev.

anyway, here's a pinterest pic you can use:
or choose this option:
or don't choose anything at all and
just move on to something else!

whee! aren't options awesome?!?

  2. I'm amazed that there's 60 (sixty!!!) of ANYTHING these days for one dollar! Those sure are a cute find - and the finished project is adorable! Even at $3 (booooo!) for each stand, you can still put one at each place setting!

    1. good point J! but i never thought about putting one for a place setting-how cute would that be?! :>D! but if you look at it from the point of view that a fancy place can cost you up to $10 or so, i guess these are still a bargain!?! ;)

  3. What a cute idea for those erasers. They will look so great on the table. Like the idea of hot glue and then tacky glue.
