snowmen centerpieces (from dollar tree items)

merry merry everyone! yes it is a merry time of year full of cheer and lots of parties. so these snowmen centerpieces are just the thing for all your merriment!

that's right these wintry cuties are made from dollar tree products! and i'll show you how easy they come together. 

so let's face it, parties can be expensive to put together and flowers or any party table centerpiece can be crazy expensive especially when you have to buy 6-8 table centerpieces. with these, at about $7 a piece to make, you can have a whole snowmen crew that can cost you less than one floral centerpiece. 

so without further ado, 

let's get to these snowmen shall we?  

you will need the following supplies:

2 snowmen faces per centerpiece, mason jar, buttons, 2 glittery bows (they come in packages of 2), white sand, wooden rod, hot glue gun 

first up, hot glue the snowmen faces back to back. you can apply the hot glue to areas here and there on the border but just leave a small gap at the very bottom of the face below the middle of the snowman's smile to fit the wooden rod. 

i used these roasting sticks that i happened to have already and trimmed them to about 12 inches. 

insert the rod in between the snowmen heads and leave about 6 inches out.

ok put the heads aside and grab your jar and buttons. hot glue a couple buttons to one side of the jar and then again to the other side directly opposite as shown.

once the buttons are on, hot glue a bow right above the buttons on each side of the jar.

then fill your jar with white sand.

grab those snowmen heads and insert in the middle of the sand.

push the rod all the way down into the jar to anchor the snowmen heads.

here you will see what it looks like on the side.

when you place these on the table people can see their cute little faces on either side of the table,

which will surely make them feel even more merry! these centerpieces can be used for all your holiday parties and even winter ones after christmas is over!

galentine's day centerpieces

i'm not one for valentine's day and all 

its mushiness and romance.

are you?

my hubby sure is but we're not gonna talk about that today.

instead since i am for sure one for celebrating with my gal pals, what more reason to have a party than on Galentine's Day where ladies celebrate ladies?

all the more reason to make some 

Galentine's Day centerpieces.

 

these are easy peasy and all the supplies can be found at the awesome dollar tree store.

take a look at this cute vase-heart eyes for sure!

so let's get to decorating it ok?

here goes.

first cut the foam to fit the vase.

and trim the bouquet to fit the cone to fit the vase.

then cut the garland to fill the vase to cover the foam.

(lol doesn't this sound like a children's book?)

make a bunch. they're real quick and easy.

and if you have a cutting machine, here's how you can make it just for Galentine's and not Valentine's.

just buy a 99 cent image and duplicate it as many times as you need then apply the vinyl to the vase with transfer tape.

and then tada!

all done.

so now i am officially on a galentine's day role so that means lots more galentine's day stuff coming up just for all my gal pals including you!

skeleton pumpkin "i lost my head" halloween centerpieces

ok so i tried not to have a halloween party this year. i mean there is a TON of debris ALL OVER the roads from hurricane irma that have yet to be picked up by the city. but i do not forsee that coming soon. 

so i guess i'm having a halloween party anyway, and just think the debris are little haunted forests 

scattered all over the place. :>P

i'd probably lose my head if i didn't host one 

cuz i've been doing it forever.

speaking of losing my head, 

i made some party table centerpieces:

i have no idea what to call these so 

i am just calling them as i see them,

skeleton pumpkin i lost my head centerpieces.

whatever.

here's how to make these super easy table centers.

it's as simple as just putting supplies together.

that one dollar tree arrow is pointing to what's inside the jar, which is a styrofoam cone.

actually everything was a dollar except the pumpkin jars,

they are posing as a dollar item in target's dollar aisle 

but are really $3.00.

anyway, here we go:

cut about a third of the cone as shown to leave room for the stuffing.

then follow the steps below:

here ya go...

hold on to that would ya already?!?!

i 'm tired of looking for it!

so maybe i just need practice at catching 

to hold on to my head?!

uncle sam centerpiece

so i was at the dollar tree today

buying some cheap batteries when 

i spotted a few things. 

so at the end of the day, i made this for 3 bucks.

an uncle sam centerpiece.

ha!

so this is what i bought:

and i grabbed by paint pens.

inspired by this clip art,

i got to work.

then i cut a triangle out of 

shiny cardstock to fit in the vase.

and i shoved it in like so:

then for the next steps, 

i...dang i'm tired...
