edible easter egg terrariums

ok, so you gotta make these easter egg terrariums!
here comes peter cottontail...
he must have some easter eggs to deliver.
wonder what kind he has?
he seems to be in a hurry to get them
delivered seeing he's not hopping...

well look, this must be what he used.
let's see what he did here.

hey i saw those sprinkles at walmart.
and those candy eggs are from oriental trading but i bet you can use any candy
like jelly beans for instance.

looks like you need to make some of the mini bunnies using that mold from michael's.
oh! goodness!
look at those mini bunnies!

can i see them up close again?
a candy eye was attached to them.
it's a bunny sitting on a grassy field
with some easter eggs.
why, you could add some candy flower sprinkles
in there too if you have some.
uh oh! he's still in a hurry!
wait! wait! can you stop a sec so
we can see the finished eggs?
oh i want one!
wait! wait! i want one!!!
well goodness i think he's gonna stop.

don't mind if i do.
but look! he dropped one.
i'll take that one, thank you very much.

these are awful cute.
i think i want them all.

but oh no there he goes again!
i think he said he's coming your way.
just look for him down the bunny trail...

fancy bonnet lady eggs

oh goodness.
i went crazy over spring break making TONS of easter stuff.

oh goodness.
easter's next Sunday already.

oh goodness.
how the heck am i gonna share everything before then?
oh well, guess whatever will be, will be.

i should just do what this lady's doing:
realizing i have an over abundance of easter eggs lying around, i married a couple together.
the colored eggs i've had forever and the white eggs are from hobby lobby.
i don't know about you but i put all my eggs in one basket box and some of them just happen to merge together.
thus this idea came up.

so then i decided to dress them up.

it's another easter bonnet craft.
i made little ones here in case you have no clue what i'm talking about.
ok they need faces,
and hair.
i know this step may be a little difficult to follow since i have no pattern for you but heck hair is hair and i think any pattern will work really.
even strips and triangles as you'll see in a sec.

check out the dotted green arrow in the pic to see which pattern made each hairdo.

when i glued the strips and triangles, i just layered them any old way, leaving space for the forehead.
hey man-whassup with that?!
straighten up lady!
now attach the white face egg back to the colored one to get one heckuva fancy egg lady.

you like it?
they remind me of Beyonce
with the flowing hair thing going on.
they need to be on display y'know?
thus explains the next step.
when you gather them all together, go out to your yard and find a tree to hang them on and take some pics.
never mind that Mr. and Mrs. Jones next door are nonchalantly staring at you wondering why you are taking pics of heads hanging off your front yard tree.
hey don't stare back ladies! that's not polite!
you tell 'em lady gaga!
err, i mean whoever you are, pink egg lady...
ok that's better.
yup.
just hanging out with your fancy hair,
your hole that looks like a cindy crawford mole (i'm talking to you miss black haired egg lady),
and your pouty botox lips.
hey wanna improve their looks (at least on the inside)?
do this:

you're welcome carrie underwood.

oh i got one more thing for ya.
heehee
why do i feel like i need to fix my hair now?

oh and here's one more annoying reminder to enter the giveaway here going on til the 30th...

candy sprinkled doodle easter eggs

less than a week away til easter!
we gotta decorate some eggs already!

but i have a problem.
i am the only one who eats hard boiled eggs at my house.
well at least the decorated kind.

my picky family get all weird about eating colored eggs since a lot of times the dye soaks through if the eggs have a small crack in it which ultimately happens when you are dunking eggs in egg dye cups and getting excited and not paying attention.

and when we decorate eggs, we always end up decorating 2 dozen or so just cuz it's so darn fun.
and also cuz we crack so many in the dye process.

yes it is fun up until easter is over and i have to stand back when i open the fridge door or all the eggs will fall out.

ok so it's not that bad i guess but it is bad when i have to eat all those eggs.
i make egg salad for sandwiches,
add eggs to my regular salad,
stick them in recipes,
and bring a few to work for breakfast.

so by the time a week or so goes by, i have feathers and a beak.

ok so not really.
so what to do?
stop decorating eggs?
well, that will never happen.

so i made these:
hey but what about all that egg eating i gotta do?
can my thighs handle it?

well, they can when you use these!
yup that's right.
these are plastic!
and they look like real eggs!
and feel like real eggs!
and they're cheap!
whoo boy was i excited to find these!!!

so now the decision.
how should i decorate them?
there is every. single. kind. of. decorated. egg. on. the. planet. when you google it.

but i wanted mine to be different.
so i used sharpies and sprinkles.

and i will never have to worry about eating them to save my thighs cuz the eggs have glue all over them so i won't get tempted.

let's take a closer look at the silliness shall we?

so there are the "dirty dozen".
here they are again in batches.

the sharpie markings are just that,
doodles.
not perfect shapes or carefully measured out designs.
that takes too much time and we are cutting it close to bunny day!

so i just had fun even though my lady egg looks like she is wearing a shower bathing cap instead of having long golden locks with a pretty bow on it or that my jelly bean egg kept coming unglued cuz i rushed to make it.

but what the heck, they were fun to see come together.
well whatever and however you decide to decorate your eggs, hope you have an eggcellent time doing so!
