santa hat kiss cookies

christmas time means sweets galore right?
aw c'mon just go with me on this one.

anyway, i'm like a baking maniac this time of year and i have a bunch of traditional cookies i make but i got to thinking,
what if i could still make the same cookies i've made all these years only just a little different?

look and see what i did with the usual peanut blossoms here:
which were inspired by these:
so i couldn't wait to unwrap them and see the hat kisses!
"you thought."
LOL

i knew they were gonna be chocolate but i fixed that.

then i put those aside and made my usual peanut blossom cookies that i've made for the past a hundred million years (give or take a few years).

i used this recipe that i blogged about ages ago, but i used a spoon in the finished process like so:
next step:
and there you have it! :)
i think they're cute.
do you?
so here you can have your hat and eat it too. lol
just don't tell santa!

  1. Awwww, girl, these are adorable! I haven't seen those kisses, but I'll be looking! Scrabble is at someone else's house this month, but I could always bring a little sumptin', couldn't I! Thanks, BBFF! Dona

  2. Well.....I'd call their photo of the red & white Kisses false advertising! But....not to let a little thing like that stop you, you went ahead and dipped them in red. Good for you. With your project you wouldn't even have to find the red/white bag of Kisses since you'll be removing the foil anyway.

I'm thinking - what if you cut out a tiny hole in the top side of the marshmallow (as opposed to the side of the marshmallow) and then put the hole on top of the point of the Kiss (gluing it with chocolate if it didn't stick by itself). Think that would work?

    1. well i did end up using regular kisses cuz i couldn't bear throwing the cute red and white wrappers away. :>O and yes of course your marshmallow cutting would work Tavette! good thinking :) but i wanted the round circle shape for the top of the hat cuz i'm OCD like that! lol ;)
