baby girl cake pops

tomorrow's the first day of spring!
ah! the time for fresh flowers,
crisp cool mornings,
bright skies
and
chirping birds.
and with spring in the air,
new babies will be sprouting everywhere too.

which brings me to some babies i made myself (ummm in the kitchen guys, in the kitchen...ummm with cake and frosting and oh never mind!):>O

let's just take a looksies at what i had to gather:
after i put everything together
i figure the straws were too much.
you'll see at the end what i mean.
a long time ago i made similar cake pops and
cut each little onesie out by hand.
i know i'm insane.
and i also cut little bibs to match the onesies.
doubly insane.
so when i saw the onesies were already made at hobby lobby, i danced a jig!

so like usual, let's not do the laundry just yet, and make strawberry cake/cupcakes instead!
it's just a basic cake pop recipe.
stick with me and you'll see how this simple pop can turn into something cute :)
you'll just need the liners and candy necklace pieces now.

ok now these aren't a new idea for a baby cake pop.
and it's certainly not my idea.

but i do love it how the liners form around
the little heads.
ok so i guess we better tackle that laundry now.
grab a onesie and pull it on the stick.
you're welcome little baby girl!
you looked cold without that onesie...
hey hold on now babies!
is your diaper wet?!
are you hungry?!?
sleepy?!?!
i said HOLD ON!!!
i can only help one of you at a time!

here, maybe a sprinkle nose will help?!
HAAAAAALP!
what's a girl to do?
how the heck did Kate from Eight and OctoMom handle it?

wait a sec!
if they can do it, anyone can right?
i think i know what's wrong now.

quick, someone grab me some food markers!

SIGH!
that was tricky! but i think i got them all settled now.
i think all they need is a long winter's nap and they should be good to go.

uh oh. did i mention winter?
:>O
