witch's cauldron candy

i'm thinking witches are pretty darn intelligent.
i mean, it's not everyday a person can say a few phrases here and there and poof! something magical happens.

take for instance, that chant.

that famous chant that i will now try to interpret, hoping something magically happens in the end...

deeeeep breath.

here we go.
1st Witch:
Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

?!?! my neighbor has a few cats.
i just asked them to meow 3 times for me.
so i think we are good.

2nd Witch:
Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.

ummm...
my other neighbor has a pig,
so i got him to oink for me.
in the hedges in our backyard.
i think i'm still good.

3rd Witch
Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!

ok! ok!
i got the cauldrons!

1st Witch:
Round about the cauldron go:
In the poisoned entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Sweated venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first in the charmed pot.

ummm...

not sure if these are sweated venom pots but let's just pretend.

and boil thou first?

how's about we just melt some green candy melts in the microwave and pour it over some hot popcorn with no seeds?
All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

hey, guess it's looking like a pot of witch's stew...?

2nd Witch:
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blindworm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing.
For charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

 what's a fenny snake?
there are a lot of snakes here in florida, but i ain't never seen a fenny snake before. or an adder's fork or blindworm's sting. and i dare not pull a howlet's wing off. poor little thing wouldn't be able to fly then will he? and i like owls.
    oh and it looks like i gotta make the stuff really boil.
All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

3rd Witch:
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witch's mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg'd in the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew;
Gall of goat; and slips of yew
Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,-
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For ingredients of our cauldron.
All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:

Cool it with a baboon's blood,
ok i gotta draw the line.
there is no way i am going near a baboon!

think i'll stick it in the fridge awhile if i wanna keep it cool.
seems a lot easier...
Then the charm is firm and good.
...................tick tock tick tock......................

HEY!
where's the "POOF"?!?!?!
the firm and charm that's all good?!?!

..................tick tock tick tock......................

OH!
there it is!
;D
