winter fun pom bottles

i wonder if the confusion that i have so often comes with age,
tired eyes from reading too many blogs on the internet, or just plain lack of sleep.

regardless,
there are many times my family thinks i'm "confused" cuz i see things differently.

ok then what about we add a bunch of other stuff to it to see what i mean.

not shown are 2 winter hat christmas ornaments that you'll see in a sec.
now i know they are hard to come by as i myself have no idea where i got them years ago but i have a feeling they are from hobby lobby. even a doll's hat would work too,
me thinks...

anywho,
first we'll take the tape, the black cardstock and one empty pom bottle.

then for the other 2 bottles,

now you could leave these bottles well enough alone and use them for fun winter drinks. as you can see you have a snowman and some kid bottles.

but as per usual, i kept going...

i found these awesome straws that look like sticks at marshall's but again any straw would do.

ok put those arms aside a sec.
we're gonna do more to the other bottles now.

and for the boy bottle, wrap some green tape to resemble stripes.
now i know you are completely confused now but it'll make sense when you see it below.

and NOW folks, they are done.

well, actually, kinda, sort of.
we gotta fill 'em up!

let's get some milk!

yeah, she changed hats.
that's a girl for ya.
not to confuse you or anything...
so there wasn't much choice for the boy.

?!?!
:>P

huh? what just happened?

LOVE 'em! I've not seen those bottles, but then, I've never exactly looked for them, either. I will be now! Thank you, my dearest BBFF!!! Dona

    1. yay! we see eye to eye Dona! :>D the pom drinks are new-they were in the fruit section at my grocery store. they usually have the pom drinks with the labels painted on so you would have to paint them but when i saw these labels were removable i got all excited! the drinks were really yummy too :)

  3. Cute, cute, CUTE! I actually thought you were going to leave the hula skirt and build little tropical ladies on the bottles! But the snow people are so much cuter - and what a nice showcase for sweet little buttons and pretty ribbon and all kinds of fun little hats that crafty people have tucked away in drawers waiting for an idea like this one! Darling!

    1. thank you so So SO much J! my crafty drawers overfloweth and when i make something i go right to the store and fill it back up. sigh what a viscous cycle! :>P but those hula girls you speak of would work too! the electrical tape is super easy to work with and saves the pain of painting. i don't know why that was in my craft room and not the tool chest is beyond me! :>D
