valentine candy tube family

i have always taken a gajillion pics of my kids from day one and wondered in the back of my mind if i was going to be the reason they would turn blind before their 1st birthday from the camera flash exposure.

i have created such a monster in me that i am full blown photo addict especially during holidays and vacations.
i mean, my kids sometimes hide from me when they see me pull the camera out. and my husband? he tells me his limit is 2 pics a day. dang that's really hard on this camera addict!

but as you know, everyone hates their pics taken a  gajillion times unless they are a celebrity but heck man, they sure want to see the pics once they are done!

and what about all those crazy selfies everyone takes nowadays?

i don't get it.

but i will continue taking a gajillion pics of my family and buying camera batteries and SD cards like it's no one's business.

maybe if i bribe them with candy, they'll be more cooperative when i say "just one more pic ok?", as i really take 500 more...and maybe, they'll like this candy
and smile for me? hmmm...

first i took the empty candy cane tubes we got from walmart for christmas and my wheels started to turn.
you can use paper towel rods too for this. i wanted to use the clear tubes at first but the darn paper was too hard to remove thoroughly so i ended up doing something completely different than what i had set out for.

look:
i got the cherry hearts from joann fabrics. they're like heart shaped jellybeans.
YUM!

who says tattoos have to be on your skin?
looks like this mom  wants to have a family portrait.
good luck with that!

4 hours later...

ok, let's see how the guys are doin'...

uh oh.
do you think he heard anything with all that loud music?
6 hours later...

what could she possibly have forgotten?
headbands.
of course, how silly of me not to know.

  1. Such a crazy-cute family! Everybody would love these, especially if they were made up to represent family members like you did. At my house, we'd have to fill more of them with cat treats though because ignoring the pets would be a serious crime!
