carrot bunny cake pops

it's crazy wonderful what blogging does to a blogger.
like meeting people over the www
who think and do what you do,
when you think what you do is crazy.

so when i got an email from karyn of pint sized baker asking me if i wanted to do a shared cake pop post, i jumped at the chance.

coming up with an idea however, was a challenge.
we wanted to do something different and outta the box.

karyn was gonna make chick bunnies.
and i was gonna make bunny chicks.

so i tried,
and uh, let's just say it's easter coming up, not halloween. (my bunny chicks were perfect for trick or treating cuz they sure looked scary :>P )

so i had to come up with an alternative idea.
and the saying
"you are what you eat" came to mind.

so then i started to think of bunnies
and this is how this came to be:

oh how silly they look!
right up my alley.

karyn and i changed chicks and carrots into bunnies!

the one on the right has a protruded forehead :>P
i got sidetracked by a phone call in the middle of making these so that carrot got a little soft before i dunked it in the candy melt. i kept its shape though cuz real carrots are all kinda weird shaped anyway.

i decided to make it a male carrot.
is there such a thing?

oh and before i forget, i got the bunny kit at good 'ole target.

ok so back to the chicks (or is it chics?) anyway,
wait'll you see them here
they are so dag gone adorable i just wanna squish them!

if you've never made cake pops, check out karyn's videos on how to make them-she is a pro!
so head on over to pint sized baker too & don't forget to bring a crazy carrot with you!
