mini donut tins for national donut day

happy national donut day everybody!

in honor of one of my favorite food holidays,

i made some donuts.

errr..kind of.

i was gonna make a donut recipe for you but heck there are too many to choose from and i got overwhelmed so i am not only gonna have a real donut (or 2 or 3) today, 

but i am also going to make little ones to give away.

these just take a few steps and are really easy to make.

i'll let the pics do the talking.

i just grabbed a couple bottles of 

multi-colored sprinkles that i had.

you can fill them up with small candy or a trinket. 

i chose to fill them up with more donuts.

these donuts to be exact that you can get at jo ann's.

have you tasted these icing decorations?

they're just like sugar tabs and that's enough to call them candy.

plus i am filling a donut with donuts if that makes any sense.

now i must admit i had no idea what the mod podge would do to the sprinkles so i was quite surpirsed to find this the next morning:

but they all worked out!

i plan to make a bunch of these and give them away.

wouldn't they be cute as a little party favor?
