diy easter egg baskets

well easter is gonna be here before we know it.
full of easter eggs, baskets, and candy.

so do you make a huge easter basket for your sweeties?
i do but i must admit,
my kids don't always eat all the candy in it.

i think it's cuz they are not real big candy eaters
and having a basket full of easter treats can be overwhelming.

hence these little baskets will suffice for not just my kids,
but for anyone.
they're easter eggs turned into mini hand held baskets.

so let's make some!
the clear top eggs i got from oriental
trading but they are sold out (sad face :(
however, you can always use these
oriental trading clear top easter eggs
which i think would actually work better because they have their own stands :)

so once you have your supplies ready,
just follow the pics below and you'll have
a mini basket in no time flat!

paint on the handle as shown.
then add details with a black paint pen
once the colored one dries.
ta da!
i like these cuties.

now time to fill them up.
then grab some springtime candy.
and there you have it.
a whole bunch of mini baskets that can be
emptied in under 15 minutes or less.

the only problem with these is
if whoever gets one will actually want to
empty it or just stare at the cuteness like i do...
