witch hershey kisses

hmmmm... what is this?
i think there may be some tiny witches back there...
either that or they have one heckuva giant cauldron.

wonder if they are trying to stir up some witch's brew to help their growth.
if anything, their eyesight will definitely improve,
seeing there are a lot of eyeballs in there.

just hope they don't choke on one...

so speaking of eyes, you may not believe yours when you see what i got in store for you.

or maybe you will cuz you had some witch's brew too?
nevertheless, i think the following bears sharing.
it doesn't matter what kind of kisses you use.
i just had these on hand but you definitely need the
PURPLE ones.

and oopsies!
make that a 1 1/2 inch hole puncher and you also need purple cardstock that's pictured but not mentioned.

just rip that part off.
then fix the purple foil as needed.

as the hats dry, do this:
so you'll need to cut the tissue paper in about 2x3 inch rectangles give or take a centimeter, and wrap it snugly around as shown.
line them up?
why yes because it's now time for hair and makeup.
yes there is a bald spot on those heads,
that will soon be covered up in a sec.
i believe this could be the only kind of wart on a person's nose that may actually enhance the face.
ok so now let's get those hats, which should be dry by now.
and now, she is all set.

wow there's a bunch of them!
and it looks like the witch's brew worked after all,
as they sure did grow!
i mean, look how small that cauldron looks now!

but hey wait a sec,
maybe they're not so big after all?!?
bet they can fit in a 3 inch halloween pail.
yay! all 10 of them do fit in there!
know what mama witch?
i think i do too :)

frankenstein and bride of frankenstein marshmallows

as a nurse, i've worked with a ton of doctors.
but never dr. frankenstein.

i wonder what it would be like to be at his lab, with Igor at my side, as we try to figure out where to get body parts to create awesome beings.
hmmmmm...think i'll practice in my lab(kitchen) today.

ok now that i said bride,
you probably figured out what i'm creating.
as you can see, i just used different marshmallows for the body parts.

now seeing that the bride of frankenstein is always a voluptuous being, i figured the mini marshmallows would work.
but would the kids like them? i dunno. perhaps they are too adult like for them so i made one with no mini marshmallows too.

then i did this:

ok guys now we can pull the lightning bolt switch!
READY?!??!
1...
2...
THREE!

ok let's go it again!
1...
2...
THREE!

and one more time...
1...
2...
3!!!

hey is that a storm i see comin'?

well, maybe working with dr. frankenstein isn't what it's all cracked up to be.
perhaps that's why igor looks the way he does?

rice krispie trick or treat bags

yippee yippee yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
fall is officially here.
which means NOW is the time for me to get on
the halloween train!

i want you guys to come along with me cuz my head is full full full of crazy halloween ideas that i just cannot wait to share with you!

ok so first, let's fill our trick or treat bags full of halloween goodness shall we?

just smoosh the middle part with a spoon or your fingers.
then chill the bags til firm.
when the bag is dry,use more candy melt as glue on a toothpick to add the details.
brush any loose sprinkles away with a food paint brush.
checkout this green licorice, found everywhere i looked at the stores-like walmart, target, jo ann's and michael's).
strangest ok-tasting licorice ever.
they remind me of eyes.
look:
woohoo!
let's continue the craziness shall we?
i liked the wrinkles the candy made-it made the bag more realistic looking.
after the mess,
check out your little trick or treat bags.

uh oh. looks like the count got his lunch...

whew! nothing like candy to save a life.
so don't be afraid of the candy this halloween.

lord knows we need more sweetness in our lives.
