pineapple mini vases

hello!
now that red white and blue day is over,
let's concentrate on other colors shall we?

like yellow, pink and purple.
as in pineapples.
in vases.

i know, i'm confused too
but not when you see this:
they're an easy peasy diy craft that
can brighten up a little corner of your room
with their unexpected colors.

and what's more, they're cheap to boot!
here's the simple how-to:

just paint in a diagonal fashion one way and then make 3 diagonal strokes the opposite way.
again, make sure the brush is DRY to get this effect.

just don't mind the small smudge marks
you see in the pic by the brush.
i was actually holding the brush with my teeth
as i held the plant in one hand and
took the pic with the other. LOL
what bloggers do!?! :>O

 next, if you want:

i used sharpie paint markers cuz they're more vibrant.
and also cuz i luv 'em :)
all done.
hmmm...now i want a piece of pink pineapple...
