watermelon cupcake liner pom pom garland

how many pieces of watermelon would you say
were in an actual watermelon?
12?
20?
57?
well, if i were to ask this to my hubby,
he would say "4".

yup. 4 pieces.
bcause my watermelon loving hubby cuts a watermelon
in 4 HUMONGOUS pieces and goes to town.

needless to say, it is his fave fruit.

i, on the other hand, like it too but
i do NOT like the fact that he leaves
those darn watermelon rinds on the table
where i discover them in the morning since he likes to chomp on midnite watermelon
after i've fallen asleep.
sigh.

they have seedless watermelon,
so why can't someone invent rindless watermelon?
i guess i could buy the pre-slice cube stuff
but heck i would have to buy 30 tubs of them
to satisfy my watermelon hubby.

anyway, it was his bday recently and because
i had watermelon on the brain,
i made him a garland for his bday.

not that he really cared about it,
as i don't think garland is really something men care that much about, but heck, i like it.

so i made watermelon garland.
with pom poms, nonetheless.
and mini cupcake liners.
it's another super easy peasy craft.

and yes, it has been done before as i saw
on google after the fact when i made it, (shoot!)
but at least mine has pom poms.

here goes:

those little white dots in the pic above
are just tacky glue.

this amount in real watermelon life
would equal about a teaspoon in my hubby's eyes.
i just hot glued the corner of
the watermelon slice on a pom pom.
so there ya have it.

perhaps the best part of these is that
i don't have to throw the watermelon rind out!?!
