they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
so i guess that means my kids are doomed as far as being away from arts and crafts.
well, i shouldn't say doomed really, as some of the things i do can come in handy in their life i suppose.
like at celebrations, where my kids would have a desire to spend 19 hours in the kitchen per day making party stuff.
see, i will never have to worry about that part at least.
seeing that my son is 10 and will have the desire to hang out with his friends more than his mom doing crafts at home as he gets older, i grabbed the chance with him to work together on a craft.
so we made these:
you can make them too with your kid or a little one.
just like this:
we used both because we wanted to use as many colors as we had.
have you ever heard of that before?
i tried it.
see what i mean?
so anyway, this is what my son drew:
ooo! me likey!
he knows just what makes my heart beat faster :)
(by the way, that ice cream coaster corner was like that when i bought it unbeknownst to me!)
anywho, next we took the coasters and did this:
when the labels dry,
we just killed 2 birds with one stone.
spending quality time together and making a gift.
"for me?" i tell my son."why you shouldn't have!"
