curses!
foiled again!
it's that darn blessing and curse dollar tree store.
it like has a magical magnet that draws people in to thinking "oh it's just a dollar!" and then they leave with bags and bags and bags and bags of dollar stuff.
cuz, ya know, it's only a dollar!
and since i have so much time in between my Mon-Fri nursing job, my 17 loads of dirty laundry, my 2923 emails i have yet to read, my milliseconds of patience when it comes to helping my son with 4th grade math that is waaaay over my simple head, and my 99,000th time i tell my daughter to clean her room or ask my hubby to pick up his candy wrapper that has grown dust on the couch cuz i refuse to pick it up,
that i decided,
"hey! i bet the dollar tree has their easter stuff up. think i'll just mosey on over there and see what they got so i can make something."
cuz, y'know i have so much time to spare.
anyway,
today's craft does involve time.
can you spare around 12 minutes?
cuz that's how long it takes to make these.
lookie:
(of course i bought these-unless you know how to make them in less than 5 minutes)
this part takes the longest time-only cuz i am blind from looking at the internet so much and can't see straight. so grab your whipper snapper keen eyed kid or significant other to pick out the pink sprinkles for you and perhaps you can tone this craft down to 7 minutes.
i said significant other cuz asking my hubby to pick out pink sprinkles for me is like asking me to watch the speed channel news with him.
'aint gonna happen.
ok let's move on...
tick
tock
tick
tock.
you're done!
hey looking good gals!
looking good.
whatever it takes to make your insides happy,
i hope you do it.
Oh my goodness! How adorable Lisa!!!
ReplyDeleteheehee thank you Diana! i fell in love with the white bunny eggs-i guess you could make strawberry rice krispies for the pink eggs and use purple candy too-i just didn't have time to make strawberry krispies! LOL
DeleteSo cute and creative! Rice Krispie Treats are always a winner!
ReplyDeleteaww thanks Brenda! gotta love the rice krispies :)
DeleteSo cute! I was at the dollar store today, and I saw those eggs! I got suckered into two yellow ceramic pots, jelly beans and a headband with bunny ears. I NEEDED all of those items!!
ReplyDeleteHAHA one never knows what they truly need til they go to the dollar store! and YIPPEEEEE!!!! i see you're my newest GFC!!! i just subscribed to you by RSS :) thank YOU so much Jeni!
DeleteThose are so stinking cute! And I totally get what you are saying about that dang dollar store, I never spend a dollar it is usually around 20. Stupid store always sucks me in. But mine does not have those bunny eggs! I am going to complain! Oh and I just love that you don't make the Rice Krispies, really so much quicker to just buy them! Thanks for sharing on We Made That!
ReplyDeleteoh Tracey! you have me giggling over here! they should name the store "20 and up" cuz that's what everyone seems to spend-LOL oh i do hope you get to find the eggs though! maybe someone else will carry them? you can always make some outta plain eggs and just add the ears cut out of paper?! uh oh that would be a 20 minute craft though! hehe thank you SO SO much again! :)
DeleteThese are so much fun for Easter! I like how easy they are, too, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who cannot see based on computer usage. I have like continual eyestrain, I'm sure you can imagine! We could not survive without the dollar tree, btw, lol. What the heck is speed news? Can you tell how much I watch tv?
ReplyDeletefrom one blind bat to another-i feel your pain! LOL there's a channel called Speed that's devoted to motor sports that my hubby is addicted to-he's always trying to get me to sit and watch it with him but i'd much much rather be in the kitchen making stuff like bunny rabbits-haha i don't hardly ever ever watch tv!
Deleteif i'm not making stuff i'm at the (dollar) store :>D thanks Michelle!
