skeleton pretzels

ok so i am slightly behind
on my usual 2 weekly posts.
but does a hurricane count
as a good excuse for a delay?
lucky for us, our coast did not have too much impact at all,
but many others do.

while we pray for those who were affected,
perhaps a halloween treat will brighten up the mood?

here goes...
i got some candy melt and pretzels and came up with this:
skeleton pretzels.
i used my paring knife to cut the discs.
can i tell you how difficult it is to cut a skull out of a disc while taking a picture?
so difficult in fact,
that the pic didn't happen :>P

but it is pretty easy to cut the discs though.
and the heat from your hands can smooth out the edges.
next up:
i use these pretzels as opposed to rods cuz the heads would look awful small on rods and you'd get small headed skeletons.
so dipping sticks it is!

with the rest of the candy melts melted,
it's now time to attach the two together.
but first,

pipe on the ribs.
HA that sounds funny.

ok so add the eyes and ta da!
whad'ya think?
oopsies!
where's my black food marker?
ok ok i get the pic skellies,
now time to line up for a selfie so
you better get together now.
no! no!
look THIS way guys!
there ya go.
you guys look so cute,
how 'bout singing us a song?

well, do you think these guys need a hand?
(or an arm or two?)
