now that halloween's over,
let's jump right into turkey day ok?
not only cuz poor turkeys do not get enough holiday credit, but more cuz i refuse to jump into christmas posts before thanksgiving (well except for this awesome giveaway!).
goodness do people actually put their tree up now? :>O
anyway, let's talk turkey.
ever go to an amusement park and see people walking around with those gigundo turkey legs gnawing at them in all their glory? holy cow those things are huge.
i think those are the people who would like these:
if you wanna make these, hurry and pick these up cuz they are probably on clearance now.
there are different brands of bones-look in the caveman section as this is from the halloween city store.
they have holes in them to make a necklace or earrings so if you want to wear jewelry and have a snack at the same time, then these are your babies.
next head on over to wally world.
cuz making a cake, crumbling it, and adding frosting takes time, this will make your life easier.
1 mini cupcake=1 cake pop
it's a perfect combo of frosting and cake.
i used these confetti cupcakes because i need color in my life. you can use whatever flavor you want.
except turkey flavor=yucky cake pops.
chill the pops til firm about 15-20 minutes or so in the fridge.
i just guessed the amount to mix together.
i do not know the exact coloration of turkey.
just make it up.
oh and i always mix colored candy melts with almond bark, even if it's just one color that i need. just add a few more discs to darken the color. those darn candy melts are so thick sometimes even after melting so to get a nice smooth coat on cake pops, you need nice smooth thick soup consistency candy coating. trust me it works!
you? here have a bite.
i know, that sounds weird but that's what i used.
the end of a vegetable peeler is about the size of a tooth.
ok now that sounds even weirder.
just use whatever you want.
but be careful not to break the whole leg.
so in summary, don't break a leg.
lol
and there you have it.
turkey leg dessert after a turkey leg meal.
and no, it's turkey, not a cow...

ReplyDeleteand you are awesomely awesome Karen so it's a perfect match! i mix the bark with the melt rather than add oil cuz it gets too oily and turns the sticks all yellow sometimes. oh and speaking of weird, hope you find your bones! LOL :>D
