tv cookies

shhh!
don't tell my hubby but i got the remote.
yes the remote, the thing that holds the answer to all his dreams.

well, not really, but it is something very precious to him, something that he cannot seem to live without.

i know it cuz he sure as heck gets all flustered when he loses it.

can't say i blame him seeing he is 0.2 centimeters away from the tv and cannot seem to use his finger to push the little on button or any other buttons on it for that matter.

so today i have the remote.
let's watch some tv ok?!

oh look here's a commercial.
ok ok these make me drool.
let's change the channel.

hey i think i see those cookies again?!
and i've used those sugar sheets before.
they're pretty much tasteless but still fun to use.

i love the food crafter(make believe)channel.

they are the trader joe's cookies with their curved fronts.
looks like you can candy glue sugar sheets on them fairly easy...

let's change the channel again.

hmmm...toothpicks do rule.
whoda thunk there'd be a (make believe) channel all about toothpicks?

i'm still channel surfing...

whoa! is that a tv?!?!

and a tv stand?!

why that is

*******************

huh?

must be this channel. let's surf some
more...
click!

click!

shoot!
what are they trying to say?!

WHOA!
i bet my hubby would like these!

why i'm sooo excited i can hardly stop clicking the remote control!

OH NO!
MY HUBBY'S GONNA KILL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUICK!!!!!
i gotta go tv shopping now!

but WAIT!
i think the tv just came back on!
football?
is that football?

must be the channel.
let's channel surf...
uh oh!
hubby's coming back!

QUICK!
help me hide the evidence that i used his remote !
whew!
that was a close one.

  1. LOL! Very clever! Now, my husband would identify with those! I remember my mother saying about dad, "He'll watch anything that has a ball moving around on the screen!" And I married one of "those" too! And so did my three daughters! Guess it's epidemic (Help! NURSE!) But at least we know where they are, I tell the girls!

    1. HAHA! i think the only cure is to give in and be thankful that the tv can "babysit" while we are busy doing crafts! LOL one time my hubby was so into watching tv that he never knew i was in the kitchen with a flooded dishwasher cuz i put dishwashing soap in it! there was soap bubbles EVERYWHERE and i was frantically cleaning it up so he wouldn't find out-needless to say he did cuz he asked why the heck there were so many towels in the laundry! LOL ahhh what memories :>O

    2. I totally agree, sometimes you just have to 'give in'.

  3. Hi Lisa - So out of the 542 things I love about your blog, it's not just the food or the craft, it's the story and the pictures. It's like a big ole dose of happy every day. This is just downright adorable! And so perfect for a fun Father's Day present. Heck, letting Hubby have the remote all day is a great Father's Day present. Wait... he already does have it all day. Hummm..... Hugs, Holly

  7. Oh....my.....word. Are you kidding me???? Cute, clever, crafty, cunning and contagious!!! Oh, girl, you hit home with these! When I was in Colorado in April seeing my brother, I stayed with my other brother. I 'borrowed' his remote because he was reading. He wouldn't speak to me for the rest of the day. I deeply apologized once I realized what the problem was!! I swear, I want to make and send some of these to him! Hilarious! So, those paper/sugar sheets.....I don't think I've ever seen them! Where did you get yours? Do they come in different colors? Possibilities are endless, aren't they? You have taught me so much, Mighty Master! That's why I am proud, yet humbled, to call you my BBFF!! Thanks again and again! Dona

    1. HAHAHAHA that is one remote control lover! you should make these for him and draw a picture of "remote control anonymous club" on the screen-HAHAHA you can get the sugar sheets at walmart, jo ann's, hobby lobby or michael's in the cake section. they come in a bunch of colors and even patterns :) i also see you are back at your thesaurus so you are teaching me things too BBFF! i'm not sure about the Mighty Master title though. but maybe if i tell my hubby that he will give me the remote once i awhile for reals...LOL! :>D
