christmas chalkboard signs

busy busy busy.
are your ducks in a row?
mine are flapping their wings everywhere with their heads cut off.

i wonder if that's why some people eat duck for christmas?...

anywho, i have another party that i'm organizing and this year is a chalk theme.
so i made these:
my inspiration came from this:

hmmm...
i thought, what to do what to do with this cute paper?
i wandered around the stores one day without a clue what to buy when i saw these:
so my original idea was to cut the wrapping paper out and modge podge it to the signs but the sayings would be cut off.

so i bought this instead.

and was done!

lookie:
oh what fun it was to make these.
it's a little something to put at the tables to make things merry and bright.
cuz we all need a little more peace on earth.
to have the happiest season of all.
hope these signs do make you jolly.
it's also the busiest season of all,
but don't let that stop you from enjoying yourself too.
merry making!

    1. thank you Kim! i dunno, i had to squeeze some of the words together in order for them to fit but i guess that's what happens when you free hand. it woulda been prettier with a silhouette cut out or if i measured and penciled it in then wrote over it, but i ain't got time for that! lol :>O

  5. Lovely paper, but even better adaptation! Now I am thinking these would be a great addition to next year's Mrs. Santa's Cafeteria! I'd place one in front of each item of food. The oldest kids will read by then and it will make it all even more fun! Thanks for yet ANOTHER great idea!
And thank you, too, my dear, for your lovely comments on my recent posts! Loved reading them all! You are the best! And have a marshmallow-y kind of Christmas in the shape of a snowman! (that's a GOOD thing you know!)
