i made a garland for thanksgiving last night.
originally i was gonna make them pies,
which is the reason for the liners,
but they didn't look like pies...
see?
so i just went with it.
sometimes plans or ideas don't always work out but regardless,
i like how it came out.
let's see how i did this,
courtesy of a lot of supplies from one of my fave stores, michael's.
i was putting my halloween decor away when i saw these pumpkins i used for lights.
i removed them once a year or 2 ago cuz the lights went out and was meaning to replace them.
but hello,
i never did because they were meant for this garland.
well, ok so i just made that up but it makes sense since i believe everything happens for a reason.
so let's see what i am grateful for:
that delicious food sticker hit the nail on the head!
ummm...not that i am not grateful for my family or the other things such as this:
definitely am grateful for you!
and you are part of that!
soooo many thanks to you.
How cute! What I always like about your projects is that they use the "latest" in that cute crafty stuff you see at Michael's and just HAVE to buy, but don't really know what you'll do with when you get home!
ReplyDeleteFunny how I even have those exact same pumpkin light covers - also removed from a string of lights that don't work anymore!
well J, i have a michael's disease. one where i lose control and have to buy everything...oh and i have a joann's disease, hobby lobby disease, target disease, home goods dis...well, you get the picture! :>O happy to hear you have the same pumpkins! now you can make a garland too :) thanks again for coming by!

DeleteReeeeeeealy cute!!! But I gotta ask you....from the looks of the ribbon in the 2nd picture.....do you just buy one of everything they have?! I'd love to do that! But just don't have the room....or dollars..... But love your garland, and think I have a perfect spot for one just like it in my living room!!! Thanks again from your BBFF!! Dona
ReplyDeleteoh goodness i certainly don't buy one of everything-those ribbons came in a package for $10. you can find them at marshall's and tj maxx too. i wish i could buy everything...naaaw i changed my mind. cuz if i could buy everything i would have everything and there would be no need to make stuff right? maybe? :>O it's all crazy! only thing i reeeeeeeeeeealy know is you are my BBFF Dona! :)

DeleteThis is really lovely, there's actually a lot of work gone into these isn't there? It shows because they are beautifully finished off, lots of lovely detail.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact you just "went with the flow" its always the best way. Sometimes you can imagine a project in your head one way and what you end up with is completely different!
imagining a project in my head one way and having it end up another is usually the case Julia! lol i have soooo much craft supplies so i try to use what i have! thanks so much for stopping by :)
